The Ruhar attacked us on Columbus Day. We were drifting through the cosmos on our little blue marble - oblivious, like the Native Americans in 1492. Then, on the horizon, spaceships of a technologically superior species appeared. And - BAM! - the good old days were over. That time when we humans only killed each other. So Columbus Day - it fits. The next morning, the sky sparkled again, this time with the spaceships of the Kristang, who had come to blast the Ruhar away. Promptly, we thought we were saved, and the UN Expeditionary Force was supposed to support the Kristang in the fight against the Ruhar. I left my post in the US Army to fight in space from then on. Not exactly a fair fight. Unfortunately, all our information turned out to be lies - nothing but lies. The biggest mistake was to even fight against the Ruhar. For they are not our enemy, but our allies. But I suppose I'd better start from the beginning...
